Happy Farewell For Inspira Patient Discharged After 46 Days!

Mullica Hill, NJ (May 13, 2020) – After a clap-out farewell by more than 30 employees of Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill, Leroy New, 75, of Cinnaminson, was greeted at the hospital’s front door by family members, and hospital staff: Kelly McWilliams, RN, MSN, second from left, ICU clinical outcomes manager and patient’s daughter-in-law; Candice Krueger, green uniform, respiratory therapist; his stepson M. On the afternoon of May 12, New was discharged after spending 46 days in the ICU fighting Covid-19, the flu and bacterial pneumonia, 34 of those nights on a ventilator. He will continue his recovery at a rehab facility.
“His care has been a great example of how Inspira is able to execute its mission statement with comprehensive and compassionate care,” said Dawson. “My mom, Leroy’s wife of over 40 years, and I are indebted to Inspira and all of its amazing staff members for saving his life.”
