Grace Ann Pio – Obituary
Grace Ann Pio (nee Danley) of Clayton on Monday, June 21, 2021. Age 65. Wife of 47 years to Joseph E. Pio, Jr. Mother of Amy Pio-Burke and Joseph M. Pio (Jennifer). Grandmother of Gabriel Burke, Kiley Burke, Mason Burke, Kelsey Pio, and the late Hannah Pio. Sister of Betty Danley (Val), George Danley (Lin), and the late Robert Danley (Ruth Ann, surviving). Daughter of the late George F. & Ida E. (nee Gilham) Danley. Also survived by her “adopted” granddaughter Tori Miller.
Born in Camden and raised briefly in Glassboro, Grace was a resident of Franklinville until she moved to Clayton 47 years ago. She was a 1973 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and worked for 10 years as a bartender at the Franklinville Inn. Later, Grace worked for 10 years as a lunch aide at the Herma Simmons Elementary School in Clayton until her retirement in 2012. Along with her husband, she enjoyed traveling to many places throughout the United States. She liked crabbing, reading, and watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. Grace loved her daily Dunkin’ Ice Tea and taking care of her husband and their home.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, June 28, 2021, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ.
