Gloucester County updates on COVID-19 (Jan. 3rd, 2021)

As of Sunday, January 3, 2021, Gloucester County has conducted 118,015 total tests. Of these cases, 104,049 have come back negative. Two cases have been moved out of county. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 13,966. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 114 cases to report. Of those cases:

Gloucester County has 380 COVID-19 related deaths.The 378th patient death was a 65-year-old male from Elk. The 379th patient death was an 81-year-old male from Mantua. The 380th patient death was an 89-year-old male from Woodbury.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.

Gloucester County will operate its drive-thru style COVID-19 testing site every weekday through February 2021. An appointment is required. The sites will open daily at 9 a.m. at the Clayton County Complex, Gloucester County Fleet Management in Swedesboro and Gloucester County Fleet Management in Mantua.
