Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19


As of Thursday, July 2, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 22,239 total tests. Of these cases, 19,635 have come back negative.Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,604.Gloucester County has 175 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 14 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 2591st case is a 90-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2592nd case is a 23-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2593rd case is a 46-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2594th case is a 47-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 2595th case is a 21-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2596th case is a 61-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2597th case is a 20-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2598th case is a 22-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 2599th case is a 59-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2600th case is a 43-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2601st case is a 51-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2602nd case is a 37-year-old male from Harrison Twp.
The 2603rd case is a 26-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2604th case is a 16-year-old male from Swedesboro.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
