Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Wednesday, July 1st Gloucester County has conducted 22,052 total tests. Of these cases, 19,462 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,590 and has 175 COVID-19 related deaths. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 19 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 2572nd case is a 29-year-old female from Monroe Twp.; The 2573rd case is a 63-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 2574th case is a 24-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 2575th case is a 74-year-old female from Pitman.
The 2576th case is a 49-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 2577th case is a 43-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2578th case is a 30-year-old female rom Monroe Twp.
The 2579th case is a 34-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 2580th case is a 59-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2581st case is a 43-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 2582nd case is a 30-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 2583rd case is a 34-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 2584th case is a 71-year-old female from Deptford.
The 2585th case is an 83-year-old male from Deptford.
The 2586th case is a 28-year-old male from Woolwich.
The 2587th case is a 47-year-old male from Clayton.
The 2588th case is an 18-year-old female from Logan.
The 2589th case is a 39-year-old female from Logan.
The 2590th case is a 34-year-old female from Deptford.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
