Gloucester County Updates on COVID-19

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 48 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County. As of Wednesday, April 22, 2020 we have conducted 3,705 total tests. Of these cases, 2,821 have come back negative and 33 are pending.
The Gloucester County Department of Health has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 31 confirmed deaths. The 30th patient death was a 65-year-old male.
The 31st patient death was a 72-year-old male.
The third Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23.Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled. Phone lines will close today at 12:30 p.m. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is 851.

The 805th case is a 62-year-old female from Deptford.
The 806th case is a 63-year-old male from Deptford.
The 807th case is a 52-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The 808th case is an 85-year-old female from Deptford.
The 809th case is a 47-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 810th case is a 65-year-old male from Woolwich.
The 811th case is a 58-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 812th case is a 40-year-old male from Deptford.
The 813th case is a 76-year-old female from Deptford.
The 814th case is a 44-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 815th case is a 24-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 816th case is a 22-year-old male from Deptford.
The 817th case is a 94-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 818th case is a 65-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 819th case is a 44-year-old female from Logan.
The 820th case is a 58-year-old female from Franklin Twp.

The 824th case is a 79-year-old female from East Greenwich.

The 829th case is a female from Deptford. Age is unknown at this time.
The 830th case is a 60-year-old male from Mantua.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
