Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Thursday, June 25th Gloucester County has conducted 20,473 total tests. Of these cases, 17,963 have come back negative. There has been one case moved out of county. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,510. Gloucester County has 173 COVID-19 related deaths. The 173rd patient death was a 44-year-old male from Mantua Twp. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 18 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 2493rd case is an 83-year-old female from Monroe Twp. The 2494th case is a 65-year-old male from Monroe Twp. The 2495th case is a 27-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2496th case is an 87-year-old female from Deptford. The 2497th case is a 52-year-old female from Washington Twp.The 2498th case is a 27-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2499th case is an 18-year-old female from Woodbury Heights. The 2500th case is a 24-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2501st case is a 57-year-old male from West Deptford. The 2502nd case is a 48-year-old female form Washington Twp. The 2503rd case is a 31-year-old female from Deptford. The 2504th case is a 48-year-old female from Monroe Twp. The 2505th case is a 73-year-old female from Deptford. The 2506th case is a 28-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2507th case is a 21-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2508th case is an 82-year-old male from Westville. The 2509th case is a 21-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2510th case is a 46-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
