Gloucester County updates on COVID-19

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 29 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County. As of Monday, April 20, 2020 we have conducted 3,423 total tests. Of these cases, 2,628 have come back negative and 28 are pending. The Gloucester County Department of Health has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 27 confirmed deaths.
The 26th patient death was a 99-year-old female. The 27th patient death was a 93-year-old female.
The third Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23. Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Phone lines will open again Monday at 8:30 a.m. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is 767.
The 739th case is a 22-year-old female from South Harrison.
The 740th case is an 82-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 741st case is an 82-year-old male from Clayton.
The 742nd case is a 50-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 743rd case is a 70-year-old male from Westville.
The 744th case is a 57-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 745th case is a 68-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 746th case is a 52-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 747th case is a 37-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 748th case is a 55-year-old male from Franklin Twp.
The 749th case is a 43-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 750th case is a 44-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 751st case is a 48-year-old female from Deptford.
The 752nd case is a 43-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 753rd case is a 47-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 754th case is a 60-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 755th case is a 27-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 756th case is a 61-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 757th case is a 50-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 758th case is a 63-year-old male form Monroe Twp.
The 759th case is a 27-year-old male from Deptford.
The 760th case is a 38-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 761st case is a 38-year-old female from Elk.

The 763rd case is a 31-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 764th case is a 69-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 765th case is a 63-year-old male from Deptford.
The 766th case is a 25-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 767th case is a 62-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
