Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19
As of Monday, June 1st Gloucester County has conducted 13,829 total tests. Of these cases, 11,582 have come back negative and one is pending. Two cases have been moved out of County. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 2,246. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 12 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 2235th case is a 91-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 2236th case is a 67-year-old female from Deptford. The 2237th case is a 15-year-old male from Woolwich. The 2238th case is a 30-year-old female from Greenwich Twp. The 2239th case is a 56-year-old female from Monroe Twp. The 2240th case is a 26-year-old female from Mantua. The 2241st case is a 51-year-old male from Deptford. The 2242nd case is an 18-year-old male from Glassboro. The 2243rd case is a 33-year-old female from Mantua. The 2244th case is a 22-year-old male from Logan. The 2245th case is a 56-year-old male from Logan. The 2246th case is a 69-year-old female from Logan.
Gloucester County has 148 COVID-19 related deaths. The 148th patient death was a 68-year-old female from Deptford.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
