Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Wednesday, May 20, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 9,703 total tests. Of these cases, 7,726 have come back negative and 6 are pending. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,971.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 38 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 1935th case is a 42-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 1936th case is a 31-year-old male from Swedesboro.
The 1937th case is a 55-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1938th case is a 26-year-old female from National Park.
The 1939th case is a 27-year-old female from Newfield.
The 1940th case is a 67-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1941st case is a 60-year-old female from Westville.
The 1942nd case is a 77-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1943rd case is a 77-year-old male from Pitman.
The 1944th case is a 31-year-old male from South Harrison Twp.
The 1945th case is a 37-year-old female from Harrison Twp.

The 1971st case is a 79-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County has confirmed that residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 128 confirmed deaths.
The 127th patient death is a 77-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 128th patient death was a 40-year-old female from Pitman.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.
