Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Tuesday, May 19, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 9,371 total tests. Of these cases, 7,424 have come back negative and 14 are pending. One case was moved out of county. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,932. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 28 cases to report. Of those cases:  

The 1905th case is a 58-year-old male from Glassboro.   The 1906th case is a 40-year-old male from Newfield.   The 1907th case is a 52-year-old male form Swedesboro.   The 1908th case is a 26-year-old male from Woodbury.   The 1909th case is a 22-year-old male from Monroe Twp.   The 1910th case is a 94-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1911th case is a 31-year-old female from West Deptford.   The 1912th case is a 47-year-old female from Woodbury.   The 1913th case is a 58-year-old male from Mantua.   The 1914th case is a 39-year-old female from Monroe.   The 1915th case is a 94-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 1916th case is a 25-year-old male from Monroe Twp.   The 1917th case is a 60-year-old male from Monroe Twp.   The 1918th case is a 90-year-old female from Franklin Twp.   The 1919th case is a 49-year-old female from Glassboro.   The 1920th case is a 20-year-old male from Glassboro.   The 1921st case is a 33-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1922nd case is a 28-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 1923rd case is a 29-year-old female from Paulsboro.   The 1924th case is a 57-year-old female from Glassboro.   The 1925th case is a 59-year-old male from Mantua.   The 1926th case is a 37-year-old male from Swedesboro.   The 1927th case is a 79-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1928th case is an 84-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1929th case is a 45-year-old male from Woodbury.   The 1930th case is a 19-year-old male form Washington Twp.   The 1931st case is a 54-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1932nd case is a 78-year-old male from Swedesboro.

      The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County has confirmed that residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 126 confirmed deaths.

  The 122nd patient death was an 85-year-old male from Deptford.   The 123rd patient death was a 48-year-old female from Harrison Twp.   The 124th patient death was an 86-year-old male form Deptford.   The 125th patient death was a 95-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 126th patient death was a 77-year-old female from Deptford.

  At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.   Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
