Gloucester County updates on COVID-19


As of Friday, May 15, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 8,266 total tests. Of these cases, 6,474 have come back negative and 9 are pending. Two cases have been moved out of county. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,783. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 34 cases to report. Of those cases:

The 1751st case is a 57-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1752nd case is a 58-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1753rd case is a 64-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1754th case is a 28-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 1755th case is a 71-year-old male form Deptford.
The 1756th case is an 89-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1757th case is a 93-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1758th case is a 70-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1759th case is an 85-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1760th case is a 90-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1761st case is a 93-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1762nd case is a 93-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1763rd case is a 93-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1764th case is a 20-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1765th case is a 93-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1766th case is a 96-year-old female from Deptford.

The 1782nd case is a 38-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 1783rd case is a 59-year-old female from West Deptford.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County has confirmed that residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 108 confirmed deaths.
The 102nd patient death was a 48-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 103rd patient death was a 71-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 104th patient death was an 85-year-old female from Deptford.
The 105th patient death was a 96-year-old female from Deptford.
The 106th patient death was a 68-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 107th patient death was a 95-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 108th patient death was a male from Deptford. Age is unknown at this time.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.
