Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Monday, May 11th, Gloucester County has conducted 7,580 total tests. Of these cases, 5,873 have come back negative and 15 are pending. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,693. Gloucester County has an additional 31 cases to report. Of those cases:  

The 1663rd case is a 69-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1664th case is an 85-year-old male from West Deptford.   The 1665th case is a 33-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1666th case is an 88-year-old female from National Park.   The 1667th case is a 22-year-old male from Glassboro.   The 1668th case is a 21-year-old male from East Greenwich.   The 1669th case is a 23-year-old male from Mantua.   The 1670th case is a 48-year-old female from Franklin Twp.   The 1671st case is a 45-year-old female form Woodbury.   The 1672nd case is a 52-year-old male from Franklin Twp.   The 1673rd case is a 24-year-old male from Woolwich.   The 1674th case is a 56-year-old female from Glassboro.   The 1675th case is an 80-year-old male from Elk.   The 1676th case is a 34-year-old male from Deptford.   The 1677th case is a 45-year-old male from Clayton.   The 1678th case is a 2-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1679th case is a 39-year-old male from Elk.   The 1680th case is a 57-year-old male from Paulsboro.   The 1681st case is a 69-year-old male from Deptford.   The 1682nd case is a 47-year-old female from West Deptford.   The 1683rd case is a 64-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1684th case is a 60-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1685th case is a 37-year-old female from Mantua.   The 1686th case is an 83-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1687th case is a 54-year-old male from Elk.   The 1688th case is a 48-year-old male from Logan.   The 1689st case is a 49-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1690th case is a 57-year-old female from Logan.   The 1691st case is a 36-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1692nd case is a 30-year-old male from Elk.   The 1693rd case is a 40-year-old male from Mantua.  

    The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County has confirmed that a resident ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 84 confirmed deaths.The 84th patient death was a 72-year-old male from Deptford.  

At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care.Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
