Gloucester County updates on COVID-19


As of Saturday, May 9, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 7,311 total tests. Of these cases, 5,661 have come back negative and 15 are pending.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 41 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,635. Of those cases:

The 1597th case is a 22-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1598th case is a 4-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1599th case is a 39-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 1600th case is a 27-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 1601st case is a 39-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 1602nd case is an 8-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1603rd case is a 6-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1604th case is an 86-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 1605th case is an 87-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 1606th case is a 17-year-old female from Harrison Twp.
The 1607th case is a 70-year-old female from Wenonah.
The 1608th case is a 53-year-old female from Paulsboro.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.Gloucester County has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 80 confirmed deaths.
The 75th patient death was an 85-year-old female from Deptford.
The 76th patient death was a 68-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 77th patient death was an 85-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 78th patient death was a 72-year-old female from Deptford.
The 79th patient death was an 85-year-old male from Deptford.
The 80th patient death was an 80-year-old female from Deptford.


At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
