Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19 (12/19/2020)

As of Saturday, December 19, 2020, Gloucester County has conducted 109,636 total tests. Of these cases, 97,532 have come back negative. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 12,104. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 110 cases to report. Of those cases:

Gloucester County has 338 COVID-19 related deaths. The 331st case is an 83-year-old female from Greenwich. The 332nd case is an 84-year-old female from Deptford. The 336th case is a 76-year-old male from Franklin Twp. The 337th case is a 76-year-old female from Monroe Twp.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.

Gloucester County will operate its drive-thru style COVID-19 testing site every weekday beginning October 12, 2020 and continue through February 2021. An appointment is required. The sites will open daily at 9 a.m. at the Clayton County Complex, Gloucester County Fleet Management in Swedesboro and Gloucester County Fleet Management in Mantua.
