Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Thursday, May 7, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 6,784 total tests. Of these cases, 5,212 have come back negative and 17 are pending.   Today, Gloucester County has an additional 39 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,555.Of those cases:   The 1517th case is a 39-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 1518th case is a 49-year-old female from East Greenwich.   The 1519th case is a 79-year-old female from Woodbury.   The 1520th case is a 65-year-old male from Deptford.   The 1521st case is an 82-year-old male from Deptford.   The 1522nd case is a 79-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1523rd case is a 15-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1524th case is a 23-year-old female from West Deptford.   The 1525th case is a 58-year-old male from Mantua.   The 1526th case is a 95-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1527th case is a 64-year-old male from Pitman.   The 1528th case is a 21-year-old male form Monroe Twp.   The 1529th case is a 90-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1530th case is a 31-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1531st case is a 53-year-old male from West Deptford.   The 1532nd case is a 23-year-old male from Monroe Twp.   The 1533rdcase is a 59-year-old male from Glassboro.   The 1534th case is a 71-year-old female from Pitman.   The 1535thcase is a 33-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1536thcase is a 64-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 1537thcase is a 24-year-old male from Monroe Twp.   The 1538thcase is a 78-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1530th case is a 69-year-old male from Deptford.   The 1540th case is a 91-year-old male from Woodbury.   The 1541st case is a 78-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1542nd case is a 73-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1543rd case is a 43-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1544th case is a 51-year-old female from Franklin Twp.   The 1545th case is a 17-year-old female from Glassboro.   The 1546th case is a 26-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 1547th case is a 37-year-old female from Glassboro.   The 1548th case is a 58-year-old female from Franklin Twp.   The 1549th case is a 64-year-old female from Deptford.   The 1550th case is a 76-year-old female from West Deptford.   The 1551st case is a 61-year-old male from Woodbury.   The 1552nd case is a 42-year-old female from Monroe Twp.   The 1553rd case is a 35-year-old female from Woodbury City.   The 1554th case is a 91-year-old female from Pitman.   The 1555th case is a 48-year-old female from Woolwich.     The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.   Gloucester County has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 68 confirmed deaths.   The 66th patient death was a 74-year-old male from Washington Twp.   The 67th patient death was a 58-year-old female from Washington Twp.   The 68th patient death was a 91-year-old male from Woodbury.   At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
