Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Wednesday, May 6, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 6,570 total tests. Of these cases, 5,032 have come back negative and 22 are pending.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 46 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,516. Of those cases:
The 1471st case is a 63-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 1472nd case is a 67-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1473rd case is a 75-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1474th case is a 68-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 1475th case is a 58-year-old female from Logan.
The 1476th case is a 53-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1477th case is a 41-year-old male from Franklin Twp.
The 1478th case is a 56-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 1479th case is a 46-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 1480th case is a 29-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 1481st case is a 19-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 1482nd case is a 23-year-old female from Logan.

The 1516th case is an 81-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
The fourth Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 7. Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
Gloucester County has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 65 confirmed deaths.
The 64th patient death was a 90-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 65th patient death was a 98-year-old female from Washington Twp.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
