As of Sunday, May 3, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 6,116 total tests. Of these cases, 4,688 have come back negative and 21 are pending. Gloucester County has an additional 58 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,407. Of those cases: The 1350th case is a 29-year-old male from Woolwich. The 1351st case is a 74-year-old female from Glassboro. The 1352nd case is a 64-year-old male from Deptford. The 1353rd case is a 37-year-old female from Deptford. The 1354th case is a 52-year-old female from Mantua. The 1355th case is a 59-year-old female from Paulsboro. The 1356th case is a 33-year-old male from Mantua. The 1357th case is an 80-year-old female from Woodbury. The 1358th case is a 47-year-old male from Glassboro. The 1359th case is a 47-year-old female from Wenonah. The 1360th case is a 64-year-old male from Mantua. The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. The fourth Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 7. Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled. At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity. Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
