Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19

As of Friday, May 1, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 5,674 total tests. Of these cases, 4,358 have come back negative and 27 are pending.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 50 cases to report. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,289. Of those cases:
The 1240th case is a 63-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1241st case is a 52-year-old female from Mantua.
The 1242nd case is a 55-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1243rd case is a 25-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 1244th case is a 73-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1245th case is a 62-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1246th case is a 70-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1247th case is a 34-year-old female from Woolwich.
The 1248th case is a 69-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1249th case is a 72-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1250th case is a 48-year-old male from Deptford.

The fourth Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 7. Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened.Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
The Gloucester County Department of Health has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 48 confirmed deaths. The 48th patient death was 52-year-old female from West Deptford.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
