Gloucester County Updates On COVID-19 (12/17/2020)


As of Thursday, December 17th Gloucester County has conducted 108,317 total tests. Of these cases, 96,415 have come back negative. Two cases have been moved out of County. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 11,956. Today, Gloucester County has an additional 58 cases to report. Of those cases:

Gloucester County has 328 COVID-19 related deaths. The 324th patient death was an 84-year-old female from Woodbury. The 325th patient death was an 85-year-old female from Washington Twp. The 326th patient death was a 91-year-old male from Woodbury. The 327th patient death was a 100-year-old female from Woodbury. The 328th patient death was an 80-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. Gloucester County will operate its drive-thru style COVID-19 testing site every weekday beginning October 12, 2020 and continue through February 2021. An appointment is required. The sites will open daily at 9 a.m. at the Clayton County Complex, Gloucester County Fleet Management in Swedesboro and Gloucester County Fleet Management in Mantua. You must call (856) 218-0300 to be prescreened by Rowan Medicine. When calling, choose option #1 for Family Medicine then press #1 again to make an appointment. Call takers will be available: Monday & Thursday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please have your insurance information available at this time. You do not need to be symptomatic to receive testing. Once pre-screened, please arrive at the appropriate testing site at 9 a.m.New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions.
