GLOUCESTER COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATES

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 38 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County.
As of Saturday, April 18, 2020 we have conducted 3,203 total tests. Of these cases, 2,470 have come back negative and 28 are pending.
The Gloucester County Department of Health has confirmed that several residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 25 confirmed deaths.
The 23rd patient death is 73-year-old female.
The 24th patient death is an 85-year-old male.
The 25th patient death is an 89-year-old male.
The third Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23.
Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is 705.

The 659th case is a 39-year-old female from Logan.
The 660th case is a 77-year-old male from West Deptford.The 661st case is a 26-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 662nd case is a 44-year-old male from Woodbury.
The 663rd case is a 42-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 664th case is a 24-year-old male from Deptford.
The 665th case is a 58-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 666th case is a 27-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 667th case is a 46-year-old male from Franklin Twp.
The 668th case is a 75-year-old male from Wenonah.
The 669th case is a 50-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 670th case is a 76-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 671st case is a 54-year-old male from Washington Twp.

The 705th case is an 85-year-old male from Pitman.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
