GLOUC COUNTY UPDATES ON COVID-19 (18 Confirmed Deaths)

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 19 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County. As of Thursday, April 16, 2020 we have conducted 2,931 total tests. Of these cases, 2,285 have come back negative and 27 are pending. Two previous cases have been moved to out of County.
The Gloucester County Department of Health has confirmed that residents ill with COVID-19 have died. Gloucester County now has 18 confirmed deaths.
The 13th patient death was a 58-year-old male.
The 14th patient death was an 89-year-old male.
The 15th patient death was a 79-year-old male.
The 16th patient death was a 72-year-old female.
The 17th patient death was a 90-year-old female.
The 18th patient death was a 91-year-old female.


The third Gloucester County COVID-19 Testing Site has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23.Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Prescreening will begin Friday, April 17 at 8:30 a.m. No appointments will be scheduled before that date.
Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is 619.

The 602nd case is a 33-year-old male from Paulsboro.
The 603rd case is an 84-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 604th case is an 89-year-old male from Deptford.
The 605th case is a 57-year-old female from Deptford.
The 606th case is a 72-year-old female from Deptford.
The 607th case is a 45-year-old male from Deptford.
The 608th case is a 58-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The 609th case is a 37-year-old male from South Harrison Twp.
The 610th case is a 49-year-old male from Woolwich.
The 611th case is a 53-year-old male from Clayton.
The 612th case is a 32-year-old male from Clayton.
The 613th case is a 68-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 614th case is a 53-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 615th case is a 62-year-old female from West Deptford.
The 616th case is a 62-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 617th case is a 4-month-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 618th case is a 61-year-old male from Deptford.
The 619th case is a 59-year-old female from West Deptford.

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care.
Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
