GLOUC COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATES

As of Monday, May 4, 2020 Gloucester County has conducted 6,216 total tests. Of these cases, 4,764 have come back negative and 17 are pending.
Today, Gloucester County has an additional 28 cases to report. Of those cases:
The 1408th case is a 59-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1409th case is a 20-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 1410th case is a 48-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 1411th case is an 85-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 1412th case is an 85-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1413th case is a 79-year-old female from Mantua.
The 1414th case is a 61-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1415th case is a 55-year-old female from South Harrison.
The 1416th case is a 37-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1417th case is an 85-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1418th case is a 71-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 1419th case is a 42-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1420th case is a 26-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 1421st case is a 73-year-old male from Glassboro.
The 1422nd case is a 59-year-old female from Mantua.
The 1423rd case is a 20-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1424th case is a 41-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 1425th case is a 37-year-old female from Paulsboro.
The 1426th case is a 24-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 1427th case is a 33-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 1428th case is a 56-year-old male from Greenwich.
The 1429th case is a 75-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1430th case is a 60-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 1431st case is a 48-year-old male from Deptford.
The 1432nd case is a 24-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1433rd case is a 29-year-old female from Deptford.
The 1434th case is a 50-year-old female from Logan.
The 1435th case is a 62-year-old female from West Deptford.
Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is now 1,435.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
The fourth Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, May 7.
Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened.
Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled.
Gloucester County has confirmed that a resident ill with COVID-19 has died. Gloucester County now has 52 confirmed deaths.
The 52nd patient death was a 90-year-old female from Washington Twp.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases.
New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
