GLOUC COUNTY COVID-19 UPDATE

The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services and Office of Emergency Management have announced 33 more positive COVID-19 cases in Gloucester County.
As of Sunday, April 19, 2020 we have conducted 3,311 total tests. Of these cases, 2,551 have come back negative and 27 are pending. The third Gloucester County COVID-19 testing date has been scheduled for Thursday, April 23rd.
Residents 18 and older with symptoms of COVID-19 must call (856) 218-4142 to be prescreened. Phone lines will be open again on Monday, April 20 at 8:30 a.m. Please have your insurance information available at this time. Once prescreened, an appointment time will be scheduled. Gloucester County’s total positive COVID-19 case count is 738.

The 707th case is a 69-year-old male from Deptford.
The 708th case is a 61-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The 709th case is a 39-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 710th case is a 57-year-old female from Pitman.
The 711th case is a 54-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 712th case is a 23-year-old male from Mantua.
The 713th case is a female from Monroe Twp. Age is unknown at this time.
The 714th case is a female from Washington Twp. Age is unknown at this time.
The 715th case is a 56-year-old female from Deptford.
The 716th case is a 29-year-old female from Clayton.
The 717th case is a 60-year-old female from Franklin Twp.
The 718th case is a 24-year-old female from Glassboro.
The 719th case is a 28-year-old female from East Greenwich.
The 720th case is a 60-year-old male from Monroe Twp.
The 721st case is a 54-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 722nd case is a 27-year-old male from Washington Twp.
The 723rd case is a 37-year-old female from Woodbury.
The 724th case is a 67-year-old male from Deptford.
The 725th case is a 43-year-old male from West Deptford.
The 726th case is a 50-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 727th case is a 30-year-old female from Mantua.
The 728th case is a 28-year-old male from Deptford.
The 729th case is a 61-year-old female from Washington Twp.
The 730th case is a 20-year-old male from Mantua.
The 731st case is a 57-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 732nd case is a 56-year-old female from Monroe Twp.
The 733rd case is a 56-year-old female from Swedesboro.
The 734th case is a 46-year-old male from Deptford.
The 735th case is a 54-year-old male from Pitman.
The 736th case is a 73-year-old male from Mantua.
The 737th case is a 62-year-old female from Deptford.
The 738th case is a 42-year-old female from Woodbury.
The Gloucester County Department of Health and Human Services is working with the New Jersey Department of Health to conduct a full assessment that includes identifying the contacts these individuals have had.
At this time, the overall threat of COVID-19 to Gloucester County residents remains low. Gloucester County is expecting cases to rise. Social distancing is critical in flattening the curve and reducing cases. New Jersey residents can call 2-1-1 or 1-800-962-1253 with questions. The call center is open 24/7 and has multi-language capacity.

Please note that the call center is not able to diagnose or give medical recommendations. Healthcare providers should be contacted if medical advice is needed. People should call their doctor or hospital before going so healthcare staff can provide instructions on getting care. Most people with mild symptoms do not need to be tested. It is important to stay home and isolate from others while sick.
