GLENN ALLEN NICHOLS – Obituary
Glenn Allen Nichols of Elk Township on Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Age 67. Husband of 22 years to Karen Lynn Nichols (nee Brown). Step-father of Andrea N. Straub, Brian R. Straub, and Jessica S. Brown. Grandfather of Brayden and Gabriel Wentz. Son of the late John “Jack” Dempsey and Doris J. (nee Kline) Nichols, Sr. Brother of Thomas Nichols of Franklinville; Joan Nichols of Millville; Donald (Linda) Nichols of Harleysville, PA; Kenneth (Elisa) Nichols of Vineland; Nancy Nichols of Egg Harbor Township; Linda (Tony) Arnold of Clayton; Patrick (Lisa) Nichols of New Florence, PA; and the late John D. Nichols, Jr.
Born in Camden and raised in Franklinville, Glenn has been a resident of Elk Township for the past 14 years. He was a 1975 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and a 1977 graduate of Cumberland County College with an associate degree in Horticulture. Glenn worked for Community Furniture in Franklinville delivering furniture and supervising the warehouse from 1981 to 1988. He worked as a sales associate at Grove Hardware in Deptford from 1988 to 2018 while also working as a forklift driver for General Floor in Bellmawr from 2004 until the present.
Glenn was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2531 in Vineland. He enjoyed playing golf with his brothers and riding his motorcycle. In years past, Glenn liked to roller skate and loved his Corvette. A big Eagles and Phillies fan, he loved going to Phillies games with his sister Linda. Glenn traveled to Tokyo to take his mother to be present for the birth of her grandson Kevin. His life revolved around his wife Karen.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 10:50 AM at the R.C. Church of the Nativity, 2677 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322.
