Beloved husband of Maureen Williams (nee MacGrath). Born 10/17/1931 – Died 12/13/2016. Father to George (Nan), Sandford ( MaryLou), Heidi (William), Lori (Gunter), Catherine ( Robert). Step Father to Christine, Melissa (Richard). Opa of 12 and Uhr Opa of 8. Preceded in death by wife Gisela (Klein), Mother (Catherine) , Father( Benn.) Brother to Robert (Adele), Betty, Penny (Steve), Rosalyn (Juris), Nelson. Uncle to Tina, Catherine, Lorraine, Steven, Jen and Ronnie.
Native of Philadelphia, PA , former resident of Franklinville, NJ, Homosassa, FL and resident of Lecanto, FL. Veteran of US Marines, US Army and Government Employee at Philadelphia Naval Ship Yard for 27 years . Prior to his government employment he was a free style hand engraver in the Tool and Dye Industry.
Former Post and District 13 Commander of VFW in New Jersey. Was an active coach in Little League, founder and past president of Franklinville Drum and Twirling Corp. George enjoyed a lengthy retirement in New Jersey and Florida. He excelled in working and creating home projects and crafts. His life adventures included world travel in Europe , the Near East and extensively in the U.S. He never turned down a game of cards. He will be missed and remembered by many.
