FREDERICK MICHAEL PFROMMER – Obituary

Frederick Michael Pfrommer on Friday, February 12, 2021. Age 61. Husband of 38 years to Lisa Marie Pfrommer (nee Tweed). Father of Michael Daniel Pfrommer (wife Christine, nee Lynch) and William Christopher Pfrommer (Jessica Franklin). Grandfather of Michael Daniel Pfrommer, Jr.; Briana Marie Pfrommer; William Christopher Pfrommer, Jr.; and Kayla Vallies. Brother of Barbara Falisi(nee Pfrommer) and the late Lynn Pfrommer. Godfather of Kelly Denise Dietterick (nee Grow). Uncle to Nicole C. Tweed-DeMatteo; Jessie Margaret Tweed; Walter F. Tweed, IV; and Steven R. Tweed. Son of the late Frederick Xavier and Mary Jane (nee Omen) Pfrommer.

Born in Elmer and raised in Clayton, Mike has been a resident of Franklinville since 1982. He was a 1978 graduate of Clayton High School and worked for the Gloucester County Highway Department for 35 years until his retirement in 2014 as a Road Foreman. Mike was a member of the Clayton Volunteer Fire Company for five years and earned their Medal of Valor for saving a woman in a house fire.
He loved working on cars and his completely rebuilt 1948 Plymouth was a source of great pride. During his youth, Mike enjoyed fishing as well as goose and deer hunting including an annual hunting trip to PA. He also enjoyed riding a snowmobile, driving his dune buggy at Port Elizabeth, and riding his motorcycle during his youth. Together as family they regularly enjoyed camping, and, along with his wife Lisa, he enjoyed traveling, especially their cruises. Mike became a certified scuba diver on one of their cruises and continued diving including the Blue Hole Spring in Florida.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312 with a funeral service beginning at 5:30 PM. Interment private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association New Jersey Chapter, 3 Eves Drive, Suite 310, Marlton NJ 08053.
