FRANKLINVILLE MAN CHARGED IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE
On Tuesday, May 9th at approx. 1:30 pm the Franklin Township Police Department was dispatched to the 1500 block of Hall Avenue for a report of a domestic dispute. Police arrived on scene and spoke to the victim who advised that the accused had threatened her with a handgun and left the residence. While interviewing the victim at police headquarters, police received a call that the accused had returned home and was standing outside of the residence. Police responded to the residence and were advised that the accused had gone inside. Patrol units immediately surrounded the residence and attempted to make contact with the accused. The Gloucester County SWAT team was called and immediately took control of the scene. The accused was taken into custody by the Gloucester County SWAT team at approx. 5:30 pm without incident. Police were able to process the scene and recovered the weapon in question. The accused was identified as 53 year old Delroy Nedrick of Hall Avenue Franklinville. Nedrick was charged with the following offenses:
Aggravated Assault with a weapon, Terroristic Threats, Possession of a weapon, Possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest and Possession of a weapon by certain persons.
Nedrick was lodged in the Salem County Correctional Facility in Mannington Township pending a court appearance. Assisting with the investigation was the Gloucester County SWAT team, Clayton Police Department, Glassboro Police Department, Gloucester County EMS, and Inspira Paramedics. The case was investigated by Ofc. Mark Idler and Detective Dan Farid of theFranklin Township Police Department.
