FRANKLIN TWP WOMAN CHARGED BURGLARY/THEFT
A Franklin Township resident has been charged with a series of crimes that occurred within the township over the past month. The first incident occurred on February 6th, 2017 at the Malaga Wawa in which a victim reported to the police that his vehicle was stolen from the parking lot while he was inside the store. On February 14th, Vineland Police Department located the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of the Days Inn on Delsea Drive. The vehicle was processed by Franklin Township Police and returned to the victim. Evidence from the vehicle led police to 29-year-old Lauren Suprun of the Malaga section of Franklin Township who was charged with theft of a motor vehicle in that incident. Franklin Township Police have also charged a 29-year-old Vineland resident with theft of a motor vehicle for that incident as well. At this time, a warrant has been issued for his arrest and he currently remains at large.
On Tuesday, February 28th, police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Willow Grove Road for a report of a residential burglary. The victim arrived home and encountered the suspect inside her residence. The suspect ran into a wooded area around Willow Grove and Little Mill Roads. Police were able to form a perimeter around that area and called in a K-9 unit from Glassboro Police Department to track the suspect. Police were able to develop a person of interest in this case, but did not find the suspect in the wooded area. On Thursday, March 2nd Lauren Suprun was arrested at a Franklin Township business for an unrelated incident. During processing, Suprun was interviewed about the burglary. Suprun confessed to police that she forced entry into the residence on Willow Grove Road and removed property of the victim. Suprun was charged with Burglary and Theft in that incident. According to New Jersey Bail Reform regulations, Suprun was released on a summons pending court for both incidents.
