FRANKLIN MAN SURRENDERS TO POLICE – Franklin Township
On Friday (5/17) at around 1PM, Franklin Township Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of a female being chased by a male. Upon arrival, Police made contact with the female who alleged that the accused, her 51 year old husband, had threatened her with a firearm and went back inside the residence. Police repeatedly attempted to make contact with the male, however the subject refused to exit the residence. The Gloucester County SWAT Team swiftly responded and the male eventually surrendered. The male was charged with several criminal charges and taken to the hospital for evaluation. Assisting at the scene were Gloucester County SWAT, Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department, Clayton Police Department, Elk Township Police Department and Monroe Township Police Department.
