FRANCIS ‘FRANK’ XAVIER SPEISER- Obituary

Francis “Frank” Xavier Speiser was born on March 4, 1947, in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. He passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 4:23 PM due to complications while recovering from a recent hip surgery at Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill, NJ. He was 78 years old.

Frank’s early years were marked by hard work and determination. At the age of nine, around 1958, his family moved from the Kensington/Allegheny Avenues area of Philadelphia to Clayton, NJ. From a young age, Frank took on various jobs—including working as a farm hand, harvester, dishwasher, and paper delivery boy—that helped shape his resilient and stubborn character.

Frank met the love of his life, Evelyn Fahy, at a high school dance. He proposed to her later that year in 1968. The pair married at St. Catherine of Siena on December 14, 1968 in Clayton, NJ – and they shared fifty beautiful years of marriage until Evelyn’s passing in January 2019.

In his leisure time, Frank enjoyed watching baseball and NASCAR, and he found joy in feeding the birds from his outdoor feeder at his home in Franklinville, NJ.

Frank will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcastic and irreverent sense of humor, his deep love for his wife Evelyn, and the kindness he extended to people in need.

Services are private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME of Clayton.  Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
