Press Release from Monroe Twp Police Department 2/10/2020
On the evening of February 9th around 7:20pm, Monroe Twp Police Department (Gloucester County) and other emergency services were dispatched to Malaga Road near Bracken Drive for a serious motor vehicle crash. Officers arrived and found a 2 car crash involving a pickup truck and a Jeep. Preliminary investigation showed that the S-10 pickup driven by a 27 year old male from Minotola, was traveling west on Malaga Road when it collided head-on with the Jeep Wrangler that was traveling east and driven by a 39 year old male from Williamstown. The crash occurred approximately a half mile west of Bracken Drive. After the collision, the Jeep rolled over on its side and stopped off the roadway while the S-10 remained on the roadway. The driver of the Jeep along with his 42 year old female, and 4 year old male passengers, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver of the S-10 succumbed to his injuries on scene.
