EMMI GERTRUDE BROWN

         Emmi Gertrude Brown (nee Walkhoff) of Vineland on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Age 91.  Wife of the late Andrew E. Brown, Sr.  Mother of Ben (Kathleen) Walkhoff of Washington Township, Ralph (Heidi) Hirsch of Germany, and Dorita M. Brown of Williamstown.  Step-mother of Edward R. Brown of Pennsylvania, Andrew E. Brown, Jr. of Malaga, and Larry Brown of Tennessee.  Grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 3.  Daughter of the late Paul Ernst Otto and Wilhelmine Martha (nee Wagner) Walkhoff.

          Emmi was born and raised in Germany where she met and married her husband Andrew E. Brown.  She moved to the United States in 1964 and lived in various places including Florida, Virginia, Maine and locally Clayton before moving to Vineland eight years ago.  Emmi enjoyed playing bingo and cards, especially Spades, and loved spending time with family.  Holidays were a favorite time of the year for her, especially going to Ben’s celebrations, and Emmi cherished the time laughing and joking with her grandchildren.

           Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday, February 27th from 5 PM to 7 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton.  Funeral service at 7 PM at the funeral home.  Interment on Tuesday, February 28th at 11AM at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
