Elizabeth “Libby” Ledden (Abrams), a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family. Born on April 24, 1952, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey. Libby was raised on the farm lands in Tabernacle, New Jersey. Libby was the cherished daughter of the late Robert W. Abrams Sr. and Mildred V. Abrams (Miller). She was also predeceased by her dear sister, Sharon Yoder and her husband Floyd Yoder.
Libby was a beacon of strength and grace throughout her courageous battle with cancer, embodying the same resilience and spirit that she demonstrated throughout her life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen W. Ledden Sr., with whom she shared a loving and enduring marriage since October 29, 1982. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising their two children in a home filled with love and laughter.
In addition to her loving husband, Libby is survived by her daughter Laura Ledden and her husband Christopher Fichter, along with Allen W. Ledden Jr. and his wife Catherine Ledden, all who were the pride and joy of her life. Libby was also a loving grandmother to her grandson Jeremiah, who brought her immense happiness and fulfillment. She is also survived by her brother Robert W. Abrams Jr. and his wife Donna Abrams, her nephew Robert W. Abrams III, and great-nephew Robert W. Abrams IV. She also leaves behind her nephew, Kolia Yoder, and great-niece, Ellie Mercy, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends, all of whom were special to her heart.
Libby was a proud graduate of Lenape High School, class of 1970. Her career as a secretary in the construction industry spanned many years, where she was known for her meticulous work ethic and dedication. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Libby was a woman of many passions. She had a profound love for gardening, finding peace and joy in nurturing her vibrant blooms. Her heart was equally open to animals, and she shared her life with many beloved pets over the years. Libby dedicated herself to local organizations such as the Home and School Association of South Harrison Elementary where her children attended and was very active in many aspects of her children’s school.
Known for her quick wit and a heart full of kindness, Libby’s selflessness was a hallmark of her character. She was always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and her warm, caring spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Her thoughtful nature and unwavering commitment to the happiness of her family, especially her devoted husband Allen and their children, were truly inspiring.
Flowers to honor Libby’s memory can be sent to Fertig Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Animal Welfare Association (AWA) of Voorhees, NJ.
Libby will be forever remembered for her warmth, laughter, and boundless love for her family and friends. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th from 10:00am to 12:00pm, with service to follow, at Fertig Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Following the service, friends and family are invited to attend the burial at Monroeville Cemetery.
