ELIZABETH JANE THOMPSON SIGMUND
Elizabeth Jane Thompson Sigmund (nee Flack) on Thursday, March 16, 2017. Age 93. Wife of the late Harry Thomson, Sr. and the late Frank Sigmund. Mother of Harry (Patricia) Thompson, Jr. of Franklinville and the late Barbara Ann Basye. Grandmother of Daniel Basye of Orlando, FL; Lisa Basye of Millville; and Harry Thompson, III of Ambler, PA. Step-grandmother of Kevin Moore, Melanie Moore, Angie Moore, and Desirae Vohringer, all of Millville. Great-grandmother of Benjamin Paul Thompson. Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Blanche Flack.
Born and raised in Pitman, Elizabeth has been a resident of Franklinville for the past 62 years. She was a 1942 graduate of Pitman High School and worked as an operator at the Millville Municipal Airport during World War II and later for Bell-Telephone. Elizabeth enjoyed camping at Parvin State Park where her family would spend their summers and the Sunday afternoon rides the family would take together often enjoying a picnic. She was a member of the Franklin Township Senior Group and looked forward to the daily lunches she shared with friends. Elizabeth also loved animals, especially her cats. Her family remembers her as a great mother and housewife.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton.
