Father of Dorothann (Chris) Franklin of Franklinville; Pamalia (Chuck) Francisco of Allentown, PA; Edward (Betsy) Bancroft, Jr. of Elmer; and Robert Bancroft of Clayton. Grandfather of 11. Son of the late Louis and Dorothy (nee Humble) Bancroft. Brother of Louis (Gail) Bancroft of Clayton, Nancy (Gary) Hopkins of Clayton, Maryann (l ate Michael) Scheeper of Glassboro, Dorothy (Chuck) Harwas of Monroeville, and the late Bernice Bancroft and Jack Bancroft. Brother-in-law of Lynda Bancroft of Glassboro and the late Glen Harwas. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Edward also leaves behind his old pal Leroy.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Glassboro, Edward has been a resident of Monroeville for the past 33 years. He was a 1973 graduate of Glassboro High School and was a retired mechanic. Edward enjoyed going to the casinos, attending campground dances, going to Cowtown Rodeo, and spending time at the shore. Lestardo’s Crab House and Angelo’s Diner where two of his favorite places to eat. He also enjoyed going to Bridgeport Raceway and selling things at yard sales and flea markets. His spare time was spent working on cars, fishing, crabbing, swimming, and spending time with family.
Services are private at the convenience of the family under the direction of the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME.
