EARSTENE CROUCH – Obituary

On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the Lord gently called home one of His beloved treasures, Earstene Crouch, welcoming her into His eternal rest. Earstene Crouch was the eldest child, born on August 19, 1949, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Enouch and Ruby Crouch. During her early years, the family relocated to Monroeville, New Jersey, where she attended and graduated from Delsea Regional High School in Franklinville, New Jersey.

Earstene dedicated over 20 years of service to Columbia Records, later known as Sony Records, as an Order Fulfillment Specialist in the CD department.  Following her time at Sony, she continued her career as a Security Guard at US Security’s in Mullica Hill, New Jersey where she ultimately retired.

On June 23, 1971, Earstene experienced one of the greatest blessings of her life-the birth of her beloved son, Enouch. She had an immense love for her family and found joy in spending quality time with them. She also had a passion for dancing and baking, and she will always be remembered for her famous sweet potato pies, a cherished tradition during Thanksgiving at her parents’ home.

Earstene was preceded in death by her parents, Enouch and Ruby Crouch, her sisters, Delores Anderson and Juanita Akins, and her niece, Yolanda Anderson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her devoted son, Enouch Crouch; her nephews Lemar (Janie) Akins, Ledell Akins, and Dameon Crouch; great-nephew Derrick Watson; great niece Rahbyn Crouch; and cousin Naheem Posey. One beloved aunt, Evelyn Fewell; her dear friend, Belinda; and a host of cousins, family, and friends who will forever treasure her warmth and kindness.

Earstene’s life was a testament to love, family, and faith. Though she is no longer physically with us, her spirit, warmth, and the beautiful memories she created will live on. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312, with a celebration of her life beginning at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow at the Land of Canaan Cemetery.  Sign the guestbook and send condolences at BarclayFuneralHome.net.
