EARL CLIFFORD MUNYAN – Obituary

  Earl Clifford Munyan of Clayton on Monday, December 7, 2020.  Age 70.  Husband of 49 years to Carole Ann Munyan (nee Lombardo).  Father of Earl C. Munyan, II (Tanya) of Bayonne and Sara Munyan of Phoenix, AZ.  Grandfather of Prisca; Earl, III; Joaquin; and Sofia Munyan.  Brother of the late Harry Munyan, Nelson “Bob” Munyan, Bill Munyan, Bernice Gassler, and Leroy Munyan.  Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Son of the late Clifford “Doc” & Frances (nee Rafine) Munyan.

Born in Salem and raised in Franklinville, Earl has been a resident of Clayton for the past 44 years.  He was a 1969 graduate of Delsea Regional High School and later attended Gloucester County Community College.  Earl worked 35 years for the NJ Department of Transportation beginning on a Street Crew, moving on to a Survey Crew, and ending as an Engineer when he retired in 2004.  He loved American history, especially the Civil War, World War II, and history of the Presidents.  Earl was a longtime fan of Pro-Wrestling and loved the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers.  He loved to browse and shop and enjoyed the many years of family vacations in Sea Isle City during the 4th of July week.  Earl was a longtime member of Calvary Hill Church in Glassboro where he volunteered as a Royal Ranger Leader.
