Press Release from Franklin Twp. Police Department
On Tuesday, December 7th at 11:45PM, the Franklin Township Police Department was dispatched to the 2600 block of Harding highway (route 40) for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police investigation revealed a vehicle described as a grey, 2003 Toyota Camry, traveling eastbound on Harding Highway. The vehicle lost control at a bend in the roadway, crossed over the centerline, went off the left-hand side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver identified as, Tad M. Richardson, age 27 of Franklinville, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The passenger of the same vehicle, Stephen B. Sklar Jr., age 46 of Marlton, was also pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation by Officer Idler.
