Dorothy May “Dot” Dietterick of Clayton on Monday, May 13, 2024. Age 72. Wife of 53 years to Joseph William Dietterick. Mother of Joseph W. Dietterick, Jr. (Kelly) of Vineland and the late Dorothy M. “Dottie” Stein (Eric, surviving). Grandmother of Breanna Stein, Collin Stein, Joey Dietterick, III, and Paige Dietterick. Daughter of the late Dorothy May Hodson (nee Coyle).
Born in Camden and raised in Gloucester City, Dot has lived in Clayton for the past 49 years. She graduated from Gloucester City High School and has owned and operated Dietterick Transportation, a messenger service based in Clayton, for the past 30 years.
Dot loved to cook and enjoyed painting and doing crafts. She was big into yard sales and had a large collection of DVD movies that she loved to watch and a vast collection of books that she was maybe going to read someday. Dot loved the beach, especially Ocean City, NJ, and liked to watch the Cape May Ferry. Camping was a family favorite, especially at the Country Oaks Campground in Dorothy, NJ and the Ocean View Resort Campground in Ocean View, NJ. She and Joe did everything together and will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the BARCLAY FUNERAL HOME, 208 Maple Street, Clayton, NJ 08312-1401.
