He was a devoted husband to the late Karen Jane (née Senseman) Taylor, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories.
Born on August 29, 1957, in Audubon, NJ, to Isaac and Judith (née Dahl) Taylor, Donald’s journey began in the close-knit community of Clayton, where he spent his entire life. A proud graduate of Clayton High School, Class of 1975, Donald remained dedicated to his hometown throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy that will live on through his children and grandchildren, who continue to reside in Clayton.
In his early years, Donald’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident when he worked as a paperboy, a job that laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Donald’s love for the outdoors was reflected in his many passions. An avid fisherman, camper, and kayaker, he found peace in nature’s tranquility. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the country in his RV, embracing the freedom of the open road. He also found joy in bike riding, hiking, and the satisfaction of farming and gardening, often canning the fruits of his labor. His curiosity led him to gold prospecting, seeking adventure in the great outdoors. A true nature enthusiast, Donald had a gift for photography, capturing the beauty of the natural world, especially the moon, in stunning images.
His talents extended beyond nature, as he was a skilled musician who could play the guitar, bass, harmonica, drums, and banjo, along with a deep love for singing. Above all, Donald treasured his family, especially the time spent with his grandchildren. He was a constant presence at their sports games, always there to cheer them on and create lasting memories.
