DENNIS W. SNEAD, SR. – Obituary
Dennis W. Snead, Sr., age 76, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023, with his loving family by his side. He was born and raised in Bridgeton, NJ, and lived in Williamstown for 36 years. Dennis proudly served his country as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a truck driver for various companies. To name a few, Sunnyside Trucking which would later become Safeway Trucking Corporation, and Cheesman Trucking Company which became Eastern Farm Lines Trucking Company. One of his fondest memories was hauling the ring used in cage fighting to Atlantic City. Dennis felt most at home in nature and on the farm where he grew up. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. He played softball most of his life and into his 60s. He loved playing horseshoes on the campground. An all-around easy-going man, Dennis will be greatly missed by his family. Beloved husband of 36 years to Regina L. Snead (nee Price). Devoted father of Chris (Tina)Snead, Kelly Snead, Dennis Snead, Jr. (Julie), and the late Zach Snead. Loving grandfather of Jozie DiGerolamo (Chuck), Jordan, Justin, Mikki, D.W., Daniel, Casey, and Damien. Treasured great-grandfather of Greyson. Dear brother of Maryann Dellaquila and Dorothy Calabrese. Adored brother-in-law of Melissa Finnegan. He was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Snead. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, January 23 rd from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, NJ 08094, where a funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
