DELSEA BOYS BASKETBALL SPORTS WRAP-UP

Delsea boys basketball came into the week with a record of 14-7 on the season and had three tough games this week. On Wednesday 2/19, the Crusaders traveled to Bordentown and dropped a tough one 67-56. Tyler Bey led the Crusaders with 17 points and 8 rebounds, Trey Simmons had 15 points and seven assists, and Jerry Surrency had ten points and five rebounds. Delsea dropped to 14-8 on the season. 

On Thursday 2/20, Delsea had a rematch with Deptford. Last time these two teams met, Deptford snuck past the Crusaders at home winning 64-61. This time it was much different, the Crusaders rolled past the Spartans 57-44. Along with beating Deptford, the Crusaders also won their division. Delsea won the TCC Liberty division, this was the fourth year in a row that the Crusaders won the division. Tyler Bey led Delsea with a 20 point double-double, he had ten rebounds to go along with it. Jerry Surrency had 14 points and five rebounds, Tristan Cornish also had a double double for the Crusaders 12 points and 11 rebounds. It was a all around good game for Delsea as they moved to 15-8 on the season.

Delsea wrapped up the week with a Saturday 2/22 afternoon game against Middle Township.  Delsea cruised past Middle Twp 60-45 to move to 16-8. Jerry Surrency led Delsea with twenty points. Tyler Bey who had a monster week for the Crusaders, had another big game with 19 points, seven rebounds and also five blocks. Trey Simmons also added twelve points for the Crusaders. Delsea now has two games left on the season before the NJSIAA sectional tournament begins on March 2nd.
