DELSEA BOYS BASKETBALL SPORTS WRAP-UP

Delsea Boys Basketball came into this week with a record of 10-6 on the season and had three tough games ahead of them. On Tuesday (2/4) they played the Highland Tartans and started the week with a win. They beat Highland 75-71. Delsea’s Jimmy Reilly led Delsea with a double-double, he had 20 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds and two steals. He was all over the floor in all aspects, Tristian Cornish had 18 points and 6 rebounds behind Reilly. Jerry Surrenecy added 14 of his own and Tyler Bey also had a double-double for the Crusaders. He had 12 points and a season high 14 rebounds. Delsea moved to 11-6 on the season and looked ahead to their next game against Kingsway. 

On Thursday they played the Kingsway Dragons and Delsea pulled out a victory 63-59. Trey Simmons led the Crusaders with 16 points and five rebounds. Tyler Bey recorded his second straight game with a double-double. This time around he had 14 points and 12 rebounds. In his last two games he had 26 points and 26 rebounds, dominating the glass. Jerry Surrency added 12 points of his own. Cole Parks also had 7 points and three rebounds off the bench for Delsea. The Crusaders now on a 3-game win streak going back to the previous week were looking to wrap up the week on a 4 game win streak. 

On Saturday (2/8) Delsea had it rough as they played against Lenape and got blown out 66-33. It was a bad game for Delsea to end the week but are still 5 games above .500 with a record of 12-7. Tristian Cornish led Delsea with 8 points and Tyler Bey added six of his own. Delsea is looking ahead into the next week with a record of 12-7.
