DANIEL JAMES ‘JERRY’ GEIST – Obituary

Daniel James “Jerry” Geist, 89, of Sewell, NJ passed away on October 3, 2021. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to parents Claude and Virginia Geist, Jerry lived in southern NJ for most of his adult life. Jerry proudly served in the US Army as a tank driver during the Korean War. His entire working career was in the sales industry selling paper goods, small engine parts, and automobiles. He retired from sales solely to go back into the auto industry as a service parts van driver for Holman Enterprises, a company and “job” for which he was passionate. He just recently retired for good after 22 years of service! Jerry was very active in his communities serving as a member and past president of the Clayton Kiwanis Club, and as a member of the Lions Club. He was program chair for the Lions receiving many awards and accolades for his commitments to the organization. Jerry enjoyed surf fishing, the beach, traveling, dining out and using his artistic abilities to create his custom greeting cards via his “A Fishy Production” artwork.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Edna (Henry) Geist, former spouse Sallie Geist, his daughters Sallie Williamson, Susan (Maynard) Arsenault, Sharon Geist, Stacey Geist (Dan Cohen), step-children Donna (Ron) Allen and Richard (Cathy) Henry. Also survived by his loving grandchildren J. Douglas (Jamey) Arsenault, Rachel (John) Sulpizio, Brian (Nikki) Arsenault, Dustin Williamson, Devon Williamson, Keith Ruelan (Lauren McNellis), Megan Farley, Kevin Ruelan, Alexis Farley, Katie Ruelan, Lori (Luis) Galindo, Matthew Allen, Richard Henry, and Christina (Curtis) Brown; great-grandchildren Jayden and Taylor Arsenault, Kingston, Nicolle, and Adrian Galindo, and Adison and Elizabeth Brown; niece Norma (Geist) Hammett, and nephews Raymond Geist and Robert Geist. Predeceased by his mother & father, brothers Raymond Geist and Robert Geist.
