CHARLES EDWARD CONTO, SR. – Obituary

Charles Edward Conto, Sr. on Sunday, May 12, 2019.  Age 78.  Husband of 61 years to Mary Jane Conto (nee Schweigart).  Father of Debra Jean (Rick) O’Brien of Clayton, Charles E. (Donna) Conto, Jr. of Westmont, Mary Jane (Harry) Archer of Franklinville, Linda Sue (John) Stevenson of Buena, and Angeline Curley of Mantua.  Grandfather of 15; Great-grandfather of 5.  Brother of Maryanne Rose of Bridgeton and the late Elizabeth Vanaman, Andrew Conto, and Delbert Conto.  Son of the late Andrew & Betty (nee McEllenie) Conto.

Born in Monroeville and raised in Glassboro, Charles lived in Franklinville, Buena, and Florida before moving to Clayton in 2000.  He worked as a carpenter for many years for various companies including for son Charles, Jr. at Conto Construction in Buena.  Charles enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping.
