CARMELA ‘COOKIE’ SEAGRAVE – Obituary
Carmela “Cookie” Seagrave (nee Guiliani) of Clayton on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Age 73. Wife of 56 years to Gary Seagrave, Sr. Mother of Gary Seagrave, Jr. (Jean), Martin Seagrave, (Jennifer), Tara Guiliani, and Lesley Gray (Eric). Grandmother (“Mammy” as she was affectionately known) of Gary Seagrave, III (Esmerelda), Rachael Seagrave, Juliana Seagrave, Shayla Pratt, Sierra Pratt, Hunter Gray, and Natalie Gray. Great-grandmother of Nova Seagrave and Vaeda Seagrave. Daughter of the late Attilio G. & Mary M. (nee DiCaesar) Guiliani. Sister of Joseph Guiliani, Marianne Guiliani, Raymond Guiliani, and Joanne Guiliani. Sister-in-law of Clyde & Nancy Shuman and Alan & Claudia Seagrave. Aunt to a host of nieces and nephews. Best friend of Debbie Deagan and Karen Finelli.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Cookie has been a resident of Clayton for over 50 years and had attended Delsea Regional High School. A longtime member of Clayton Baptist Church, Cookie worked with Awana and the Pioneer Girls for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also loved the beach, hanging by their pool, crocheting, reading, cooking, shopping, dancing, and hosting her entire family, especially on the holidays.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Clayton Baptist Church, 110 S. Delsea Drive, Clayton, NJ 08312. Funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM followed by an interment at the Cedar Green Cemetery in Clayton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Cookie to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or via stjude.org.
