CARL WILLIAM HUNTSINGER – Obituary
Carl William Huntsinger of Franklinville on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Age 73. Husband of 55 years to Rose Huntsinger (nee Guise). Father of Carl “Skip” Huntsinger and Shawn “Cully” Huntsinger. Grandfather of Lisa, C.J., Josh, and Shellby Huntsinger. Brother of Josephine Hummel and Thomas Huntsinger. Son of the late Howard Moore and Josephine May (nee Shover) Huntsinger. Also survived by his best friend, Ron Clevenger.
Carl was a lifelong resident of Franklin Township. He worked for 7 years at the Franklinville Basket Factory and later as a machine chief for Johns Manville in Berlin until his retirement. Carl loved to fish, mostly local freshwater lakes but also a little saltwater fishing for flounder, and enjoyed hunting every fall. He took great pleasure in gardening, mostly flowers and a few vegetables. Roses were one of his favorite things to grow. Carl cherished his weekly diner trips with his friend Ron, and loved going to auctions.
