During their time in Germany, Boris and Katja both did some acting as extras in post-war German films.  Boris was a soccer player and coach while in Germany and continued playing and coaching while in Philadelphia with the Jangars and later the Vineland Eagles.  He was an avid fisherman and a member of the “Franklinville Fishing Club” and taught both his grandsons and granddaughters how to fish.  Boris always rooted for the underdog and became a diehard Mets fan when the club started in 1962.  He was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed tinkering around the house and is remembered as a very colorful man.
