BEATRICE L. STILLWELL – Obituary

Beatrice L. Stillwell, 94, of Franklinville passed away on December 24, 2018. Born in Espy, PA, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Ellen (Cook) Rogers. Beatrice grew up in East Camden and moved to Massachusetts after marrying Benjamin F. Stillwell III. The couple relocated to South Philadelphia and Beatrice lived there until 1951 when she moved to Southwest Philadelphia. When she was 68 she moved to Country Club Estates in Upper Pittsgrove and, for the last ten years, has lived with her daughter in Franklinville. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity of the St. Michael the Archangel Parish where she enjoyed teaching Catechism to the children. She was also a member of the Franklinville Seniors Club for the last 20 years. Beatrice loved to feed the birds and her favorite thing to do was go shopping. But she will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her daughter Beatrice Stillwell of Franklinville; her grandchildren John Hanratty and his wife Desiree, Lorraine Ascello and her husband Frank and Rachael Stillwell and her husband A.J. Abdulaal; 7 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren; and her sister Betty Knorr. In addition to her parents and her husband, Beatrice was predeceased by her sister Bernice Goscminski.

A Memorial Mass to celebrate Beatrice’s life will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Church of the Nativity, 2677 Delsea Drive, Franklinville, NJ 08322. There will be a visitation at the church from 10 to 11 AM followed by mass at 11 AM.
